Destiny, I didn’t plan it, but once I entered the industry, it felt like exactly the right place to be.

What do you enjoy most about your current role?
I enjoy the constant challenges and the complexity of solving problems where business, people and fast-paced growth intersect. There is no routine here.

What is one thing about this industry that surprised you?
How much room there is for innovation. From the outside, manufacturing can look traditional, but once you’re inside you realise it’s full of complex technology and people with beautiful and innovative minds.

What advice would you give to other women considering a leadership role in this industry?
Don’t wait for permission or to feel “fully ready”. Leadership comes from taking responsibility before you feel comfortable. Learn the business deeply, focus on delivering results and speak up, even when you’re the only woman in the room. Competence builds credibility.

How would you describe your day-to-day work in one sentence?
I operate at the intersection of strategy and shop floor execution — ensuring our end-to-end value chain performs predictably and that teams operate in sync.
